The Arizona State Loan Repayment Programs consist of (SLRP) the Primary Care Provider Loan Repayment Program (PCPLRP) for public, non-profit providers and the Rural Private Primary Care Provider Loan Repayment Program (RPPCPLRP) for providers in rural private practice sites. Eligible providers include:

• Allopathic (MD) or osteopathic (DO) physicians in the field of family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, internal medicine, geriatrics, or psychiatry;
• Advanced practice providers: nurse practitioners or physician assistants in the field of family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, internal medicine, or geriatrics; or a certified nurse midwife
• Pharmacists
• General Dentists
• Behavioral Health Providers: Nurse Practitioners or physician assistants who are certified to practice as a behavioral health specialists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors; clinical psychologists, or licensed marriage and family therapists.

The Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program is established in the department to pay off portions of educational loans taken out by behavioral health care providers and nurses who serve in behavioral health facilities, including the Arizona State Hospital, behavioral health residential facilities and secure behavioral health residential facilities. Eligible providers include:

• Behavioral health providers including licensed clinical social workers, professional counselors or marriage and family therapists
• Behavioral health technicians
• Behavioral health nurse practitioners
• Psychiatric nurse practitioners
• Licensed practical nurses
• Physicians
• Psychiatrists and
• Psychologists

The ADHS J-1 Visa Waiver Program provides J-1 visa waiver recommendations on behalf of foreign medical graduates who have obtained a J-1 visa waiver for graduate medical studies in the United States ("J-1 physicians"). J-1 visa waivers allow foreign physicians to practice in medically-underserved communities without returning to their home residence, thus, allowing them to receive nonimmigrant, H 1B status (temporary worker in specialty occupation) for three years.
